Diversity Visa Lottery: DV-2015 To Begin Tuesday October 1, 2013

DV 2015 Program: Online registration for the DV 2015 Program will begin on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4), and conclude on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4).  Assuming we have immigration reform, this could be the last diversity lottery.  S. 744, the Senate Bill, proposed doing away with the diversity lottery.  So, apply now while it is still an existing program.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS FOR DV-2015:

For DV-2015, natives of the following countries are not eligible to apply because they sent a total of more than 50,000 immigrants to the U.S. in the previous five years:

Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.

Persons born in Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and Taiwan are eligible.

Changes in eligibility this year: For DV-2015, natives of Nigeria are no longer eligible.
