New Trusted Traveler Program Webpage–Less Information for Global Entry, SENTRI, and NEXUS Members

CBP has phased out its now old GOES website for Trusted Traveler Program members.  This new change would apply to all Global Entry, SENTRI, or NEXUS members.

The new website is now located at https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/?onepasswdfill=4lznknlqtio4u3hhazysnjtro4&onepasswdvault=idbfrb5ymvwzczi37kltu55tku

Overview

For the old GOES website, you would sign in with your membership ID/membership email address and password.  There you could obtain download your Trusted Traveler Program application and your denial letter, if applicable.   The new Trusted Traveler Programs (“TTP”) web page has an added security feature to sign into your profile.  Once you try to sign in, the website will text you at the phone number you have given a security code.  This code is time sensitive.  Enter the code within a minute or two of receiving it.  If you have given a entered a home landline to your profile in the past, I do not know how you can sign onto your new page profile.  Once you are in, you should see three different screens.   The main screen is your TTP Dashboard.  You will see the following items on the dashboard:  Notifications, Applications in Progress, Program Memberships, Apply for another program, and an FAQ.  You will also see a TTP Membership Information Page, where you can see the addresses, employment, etc… you entered for your application.  On the third screen you will see the TTP Account Profile.  This will have your email and phone number used to sign into the TTP web page.

Less Information Given

Other than scheduling the appointment, most Global Entry, SENTRI, or NEXUS members will only sign in to the web page if they have been either denied or had their membership revoked from the program.  This is the aspect of the new website that I believe CBP has gone completely dark.  On the old webpage, you could download the denial/revocation letter.  The letters themselves went back and forth as far as the information they gave.  Initially they just said you have been denied due to not being able to meet the program criteria without providing any detail.  I believe after people complained, CBP began issuing letters with relevant detail.  For example, ‘denied due to a DUI arrest,’ sometimes giving a date.  Later, CBP went back to issuing details with  the ‘not able to meet the program criteria’ language.

The new TTP webpage does not appear to have any denial letter information.  I recently viewed my client’s dashboard and this is the only information shown:

Program Memberships
Your application for the Trusted Traveler Program has been denied. Note that you will be charged an
application fee if you decide to reapply. Please see the FAQs (/faq#topic_6) for more information.

Denied
Program: Global Entry

I do not see any denial letter on the dashboard.  In the FAQ section, I see the following as a pop up screen:  “In the event your application is denied for the Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, or FAST,
programs, you may be provided information in writing about the reason for this action.”  I am unclear how to interpret that.  In some cases, CBP may issue a denial letter?  In every other case, my assumption is that denied or revoked TTP members will only be able to see the “Denied” notification on their dashboard.
