CBP $5k SENTRI Fines: CBP is still fining travelers

CBP continues to fine non-SENTRI pass holders caught in the SENTRI lane. The fine remains $5k. At times, CBP has not required non-SENTRI pass holders to pay a portion of that amount on the day of the incident. Non-SENTRI pass holders, however, should not assume they are clear of liability if that happens. Unless you contest the fine within 60 days, it will convert into a full $5,000 penalty.
